GCP Project Setup
As we are going to setup new environment, we may follow these guideline below. This section may use the gcloud cli command. Please make sure you have installed it already or you may use cloud shell.
First, we are going to create gcp project. Please login first and make sure your account is correctly setup in your local machine. After successfully logged in, you may use this command to create project.
gcloud projects create PROJECT_ID --organization=ORGANIZATION_ID
Replace PROJECT_ID by setting the ID for the project you want to create
After created the project, we may link billing account to this project.
- To list available billing accounts, run:
gcloud billing accounts list
- Link a billing account with a Google Cloud project:
gcloud billing projects link PROJECT_ID --billing-account=BILLING_ACCOUNT_ID
Replace the following:
PROJECT_ID is the Project ID for the Cloud project for which you want to enable billing. BILLING_ACCOUNT_ID is the billing account ID to link with the Google Cloud project.
